For the past nine years, we have travelled around the world, organising private dinners with some of the best chefs. Every time they dreamily professed their desire to visit Australia.
In the same time, we have seen great new chefs develop in Brisbane, only to leave the city to further their education or for "better" opportunities.
When a friend opened Wandering Cooks, a food incubator located in a funky warehouse in a great part of the city, she created a perfect location. Now these international chefs have a place to inspire our local culinary industry and you.
Four times per year, we will bring the best young (and young at heart) chefs to Brisbane. These chefs are shaking up the food world in their home town, delivering new food and restaurant concepts. Our aim is to have them bring their food and ideas to Brisbane, creating a dialogue with the local culinary industry that isn’t just online – it is a face-to-face meeting, inspiring and invigorating. Beyond the dinners, the chefs will also run industry seminars and talks, establish connections and relationships, expanding the horizon of Brisbane's food industry.
